Blackmask Online has a huge collection of free ebooks. Most of them are books that no langer are copy-righted, but that doesn't mean they're boring. Most (but not all) of the good stuff can be found by clicking the link "Cool books" in the top.
Get-E is a community website for the upcoming Enlightenment 17 window manager. Get-E has all the necessary information for installation and configuration, and features several themes and backgrounds. There is no stable release for E17 yet, but many people are already running it, including me.
PovRay is a great freeware Raytracer. Works on both linux and windows.
The internet raytracing competition has some nice images and even the source for some of them. Many good examples of how powerfull Povray is, though not all of the images have been created with povray.
FreewarePPC.com has a lot of freeware for the Pocket PC. Cool stuff, some of it.
