5th Semester
The purpose of the 5th semesters project was learn about application development in a large team. The team consisted of all four software engineering project groups.
The projec proposal entailed the development of an XML editor, consisting of a fixed platform component, which can be extended with plug-ins.

Project: XML Editor Platform
The chosen development platform was Microsoft .NET.
Our project group developed the platform component. The platform is capable of loading plug-ins, which can either be a file editor or provide generic functionality. The exact architecture can be found in the report.
Creating a coherent application proved a to be a bigger challenge than expected. Part of the problems were caused by separate project groups focusing on what would benefit their project, while neglecting the overall system. Another problem was the lack of an overall project leader, who could coordinate the efforts.
